My Team and Key Motivators : #Willverines
We met online, and most of us have yet to meet in person. We all have a common friend named Will Bushelle. Will had an early and unexpected departure from the physical world last February in a fatal car accident. He had a significant impact on everyone he met. It’s difficult to describe why, he was a humble legend, a hero saving lives long before he became a navy seal, a person who lived his life as the best version of himself and inspired the people who he loved to try to be a better version of themselves. My team is made up of four people who aspire to live a stronger and a more vibrant life than before not just in honor of Will, but in hopes of making the most of our precious time on earth.

Team Captain: Courtney (aka #FIRECRACKER) Courtney discovered this event and invited everyone to join her. Courtney and Will were college classmates. She acquired the nickname “firecracker” from Will because of her strong will. Courtney is a special school teacher, and our most avid runner. She runs 8K’s multiple times a week for fun. She selected the Wounded Warrior Project 8k because it is an organization Will believed in.
Ali (aka #UNICORN) Ali brings to the group her incredible strength, she is a professional body builder. Ali was Will’s most recent girlfriend, and one of the significant loves of his life. She also brings the magic, the heart and the hope along with her epic athletic dedication and self discipline.

Virginia (aka#SHIRTLESS) Virginia is a professional dog walker and has been my most immediate motivator. She has encouraged me daily and made me an honorary Willverines member. She has a been key in pushing us towards our goal, and has logged over 180 miles since we began training.

Tracy (aka#TIGER) I’m the tiger because it was a nickname I had at 6th grade camp when Will and I were camp counselors. Also having the eye of the tiger is the ability to visualize what i want to become for this event and beyond.

I've been using the Couch to 5K app to prepare for this 8K. My trainer is Johnny Dead. He's a zombie. Today he told me that I looked delicious, healthy and alive. Which is nice and all but I'm pretty sure he's just after me for my brains. ;P
